49h ICC – Day of the Open Monument meets Day of the Open Citizens’ Office

Messe Berlin North Entrance, Messedamm (International Congress Centre Berlin)

The ICC (International Congress Center Berlin) opens its doors for a few days: “49h ICC”. And in the middle of it all: the mobile citizens’ office.

In addition to architecture highlights and other program items, citizen office services can be completed easily – and without an appointment. From an extended driver’s license to an identity card including a passport photo, (almost) everything is possible.

To visit the ICC, you need a time slot ticket (sold out). However, the Bürgeramt can also be reached without a ticket, not via the official entrance, but via an outer door:

How to find us:

– Entrance ICC: Messe Berlin Entrance North

– either ask there at the main entrance, or from there go around the corner to the right. There you will find us 🙂

– Sat, 13.09., 10am – 3pm

More context on the rest of the event “49h ICC”:

The next Open Monument Day will take place in Berlin on the weekend of 13 and 14 September 2025. This year’s motto is “Monument Preservation. Added value for Berlin”.

On the Day of the Open Monument, the former International Congress Centre (ICC) Berlin will once again present itself as an open house under the motto “49h ICC” and offer special insights into the otherwise closed architectural icon. From Friday evening, interested Berliners, guests of the city as well as architecture and monument fans will have the rare opportunity to visit the halls, foyers and design details of the building in their original condition. For the first time, previously inaccessible rooms will be opened – including Hall 2, the second largest event hall in the house. Until Sunday evening, you can expect a varied program with exhibitions, guided tours and workshops.
